Is the UV-B5 radio that only has 27 menus a fake or is there some other reason they are different. I have tried to program it with CHIRP and the UV-B5 program software. It fails with "Radio NAK'd block at address 0x0f10" which i have found posts pointing to the 27 menu issues. I went into the menu and found it does in fact only have 27 menu items. The radio won't even accept the factory image from http://kc9hi.dyndns.org/uv5r/programming/CHIRPrecovery/. I just got the radio so need to know if i should try to return it or not.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
